Cheryl Leah and Oscar Hidalgo

Leave it to Cheryl to pull these ancient sacred Japanese words together based not on their meaning but on their sound.  She modestly calls it "fun with phonics" but I call it the poetry of sound.  Co-writer Oscar Hidalgo was our bassist for 7 or 8 years in L.A.  He and I studied at USC in Los Angeles together, played basketball, met at the "Pantry" for breakfast and got into, stayed out of, O.K... got into trouble.  A monster player for sure, he wrote the bass line, the chord changes and the cello melody for this graceful piece and Cheryl wrote the counter melody vocal line. - Ed
